Iranian Oil Minister:

Tehran (IP) - Iranian Oil Minister said that the exports of Iranian petroleum products had quadrupled in seven years.

Iran Press/Iran News: Bijan Namdar Zangeneh, at the ceremony of exploitation of 1000 km of pipelines for transporting petroleum products, said: "With the increase of gas supply and production capacity of refineries, the export of petroleum products has increased from 5.9 million tons in the year 1391 to 23 million tons in 1398 in Iranian calendar."

He said that the technology and technical knowledge of the country have increased very much, adding: "These pipelines are all home-made and we can proudly say that the Goreh-Jask oil pipeline is the most indigenized project since all its equipment have been made inside the country."

Zangeneh added: "For the first time, I declare that our effort is to complete the welding and piping of the Goreh-Jask pipeline by the end of this year."

The Oil Minister said: "The daily oil refining capacity of the country has increased from 1.8 million barrels in 1392 to more than 2.2 million barrels."
