Belgrade (IP) - The ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Serbia said that Iran had made great achievements in cultural and artistic affairs in 42 years after the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979, and we must say that culture is rooted in Iranians' national identity and religion.

Iran PressEurope: "I believe that culture does not belong to one country and one nation, and that is why we need to work with others because cultures can complete each other," Rashid Hassanpour told the Serbia's Panonija TV channel on Saturday. 

The Iranian ambassador to Serbia stated: "Our cultural center in Belgrade has been operating for more than 30 years, leading to greater ties between Iran and Serbia."

Hassanpour further referred to sports cooperation between Iran and Serbia, saying: "Exceptional cooperation in sports is underway between Tehran and Belgrade, and the two countries have good capacities in this area."

At the end of this TV interview, the Iranian ambassador to Serbia referred to the active presence of women in all areas in Iran, including political, economic, cultural, artistic, and sports, especially with the emphasis on women's sports in various fields, saying: "We also have good cooperation with sports academy of Serbia; Recently, a webinar was held between the officials of the two countries. Representatives from football, judo, volleyball, and water polo were present."
