Iran Press/ Iran News: The meeting was held on Wednesday at the Ministry of Sports and Youth of Iran in Tehran and both sides decided to hold an international tournament hosted by the Chabahar Free Zone in the southeast of Iran.
Farshid Tahmasebi, Iran's Ministry of Sports and Youth Director General of International Affairs, at the meeting said: "We are looking to set up a scientific cricket academy in cooperation with the Afghan side in Iran."
Shamsul-Haq Shams, Afghanistan Cricket Advisor also expressed his country's satisfaction with the expansion of relations with Iran in the field of cricket and emphasized planning international competitions based on the common culture of the two nations, including the Nowruz Cup. 219
