ISLAMABAD(IP) - The head of the Iranian military delegation, on behalf of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, met with the Pakistani Navy commander on Monday at the 7th Aman-21 multinational exercise in Karachi.

Iran press/ Asia: The Second Admiral Amir "Arya Shafqat Rudsari," the head of our country's military delegation, who participated in the Aman-2012 multinational exercise on behalf of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, met today in the port city of Karachi with the Commander of the Pakistan Navy "Mohammad Amjad Khan Niazi."

The two sides discussed the latest status of bilateral cooperation between Iran and Pakistan in maritime, maritime security, the participation of the two neighboring countries in holding bilateral exercises, and sending ships to each other's ports.

 The Pakistan Navy Commander praised the presence of the Islamic Republic of Iran's military delegation as the observer of the Aman-21 international exercise, describing it as a deep friendship between the two countries and their joint vision for maintaining security and stability at sea.

Referring to the cultural, historical, and geographical similarities between Iran and Pakistan, Admiral Amjad Niazi stressed the need to increase relations in sea and exchange experiences between the two countries' navies.

Second, Admiral Arya Shafqat Rudsari wished the Pakistani Navy success to hold the Aman-21 multinational exercise.

According to the report, members of the Iranian military delegation attended the International Maritime Conference's final session today. Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi spoke as a special guest at the Maritime Conference's closing session.
