Ways of expanding border interactions between Iran, Nakhchivan examined

The Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Nakhchivan and the Border Commander of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic examined ways to expand cross-border cooperation and transit goods between the two sides.

Iran PressAsia: The Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Nakhchivan, Ahmad Hosseini, in a meeting with Niamuddin Taghiyev, Commander of the Border Guards of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, stressed the good neighborliness, especially the transit of goods, saying: "It can be effective in increasing collaborations."

Appreciating the Islamic Republic of Iran's positions in preserving the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Commander of Nakhchivan Border Guards, Niamuddin Taghiyev, considered it a sign of Iran's attention to friendship and brotherhood, good neighborliness, and respect for international law.

Noting that there are excellent interactions and cooperation with Iranian border commanders in Poldasht and Jolfa terminals, Tagiyev said: "Transit and issues of citizens are done when necessary, and in this regard, a joint meeting of the two sides will be held shortly."
