Khouzestan (IP) - The spokesman for the Great Prophet 16 Exercise reported the defense doctrine of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) by carrying out six offensive operations.

Iran PressIran News: Brigadier-General Ahmad Khadem-Sayyedoshohada told reporters on Thursday that in this exercise, the defense doctrine of the IRGC will be demonstrated through carrying out six offensive operations.

"In the first phase of this drill, the command base exercise, the war game, artillery fire components, and equipment, heliborne and anti-heliborne, as well as anti-infiltration operations were successfully performed," said General Khadem-Sayyedoshohada. 

He described conducting night operations, using armored commando and army aviation units as the brilliant points of the drill, and noted that the IRGC will feature assault drones and helicopters commando and armored units with new capabilities.

The drill, codenamed 'Payambar-e Azam 16 (The Great Prophet 16)', involves various IRGC units such as the infantry, commandos, special forces, armored divisions, artillery, missile and drone units, and ground force airborne troops.

IRGC's Ground Force began military drills in the southwestern province of Khuzestan on Thursday.
