Tehran (IP)- Iran's Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts, and Tourism said that Iran's urban and rural lifestyle was at the world's top.

Iran PressIran News: On the sidelines of the opening of the 5th Fajr Handicrafts Festival, Pouya Mahmoudian said that "Iran is one of the top 3 countries in handicraft production in 295 active fields of handicraft."

She added that other achievements of Iran in handicrafts were startups, creative art centers, and innovations while preserving the originality of the predecessors.

Mahmoudian highlighted that more than 300 works by 150 artists from all over the country are on display at the exhibition.

She noted that artists have presented their works by imitating the works of veteran artists who have passed away.

The 5th Fajr Handicrafts Festival has launched with the aim of showing the power and discovering the talents of artists, Mahmoudian concluded.

The Vice President of Iran for Women and Family Affairs, Masoumeh Ebtekar also told reporters that the creative industry is one of the most important economic dimensions of the world.

The official pointed out that 85% of handicrafts in Iran are made by women, noting that holding the exhibitions was one of the ways to support them.

Ebtekar also referred to the enthusiasm of Iranian youth in handicraft and stressed that measures were being taken to educate them in this field.

Emphasizing that marketing in handicrafts is a very important issue, she said that a digital marketing network was being set up to support the artists in this field.
