Tehran (IP) - Several mega projects on agriculture and animal husbandry were inaugurated on Sunday nationwide by the order of Iran's president.

Iran Press/Iran News: On the eighth day of the 10-Day Dawn as the part of the 47th inauguration program of the surge in production and the 35th period of introducing and celebrating the national elite of the agricultural sector, 372 greenhouse projects and phases 1 and 2 of the livestock complex with an investment of 4,900 billion Tomans was put into operation in the presence of the President Hassan Rouhani.

By exploiting these projects with an area of ​​954 hectares, 11,500 people will be employed throughout Iran.

The President also ordered the operation of the first and second phases of the livestock complex in Markazi province with a capacity of 20,000 dairy cows with a value of 700 billion tomans and employment of 350 people.

Rouhani called agriculture the biggest foundation of health, life, and security of the society and people and said: "Until 2013, the total number of greenhouses in the country was 8,000 hectares and today 954 hectares of greenhouses were opened throughout the country."

He continued by asking what would happen if the borders were closed and a country needed wheat and food for life, saying: "Early in the coronavirus outbreak in Europe, we saw that they had problems in their shops because of their transportation and food, and we saw what problems arose when the borders were closed."

In today's ceremony, the national channel of agricultural education was unveiled with 42 live broadcast channels as well as 32 studios producing agricultural programs and agricultural education.
