Khartoum (IP) - Following the escalation of Sudan's economic and security crisis, several demonstrations have taken place in Khartoum and other cities.

Iran Press/Africa: The people of the Sudanese capital held a rally on Tuesday in protest of the country's economic problems, barricaded some streets, and set fire to tires to protest the Sudanese government's economic policies.

Sudanese protesters chanted slogans against Abdalla Hamdok's government's economic policies, stressing that his government had failed to improve economic conditions in Sudan.

The Sudanese people also oppose the policy of normalizing relations between Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok's administration and the Israeli regime.

Hamdok began to normalize relations with the Israeli regime under US pressure in October 2020.
