The Palestinian Permanent Representative to the United Nations stressed the need for the international community to counter Israeli occupation, citing the expansion of West Bank settlements.

Iran Press/Middle East: Riyad Mansour stressed that the expansion of West Bank settlements and colonial plans of the occupying Israeli regime and its aggression against the Palestinian people is a clear violation of international law.

He called on the international community to end Israel's actions.

Mansour added: "The decision of the Israeli officials to build 3,300 housing units, as well as more than 450 other units in Jerusalem al Quds, is a clear violation of international law and UN resolutions."

He also stressed the need to confront such aggressions, which aim to cut off geographical links between Palestinian towns and villages.
