Tehran (IP) - Commander of Khatam al-Anbiya Construction Headquarters said that with the development of maritime industries, Iran can play a key role anywhere in the world.

Iran PressIran News: In a ceremony for signing two contracts for the supply and delivery of ten pilot watercraft (ships) worth 3709 billion Rials, Saeed Mohammad said that that the executive, manufacturing, technical, and engineering capacity of the marine industry is currently available in Iran.

Mohammad said that since Iran is a transit route, maritime industries can complement the country's transit transportation industry.

He added that hundreds of ships in the Persian Gulf provide services to oil rigs and that their gradual replacement with domestically built ships could be a big step in the country's development.

The construction of the submarine pipeline, which requires high expertise, is easily done in the country today, he noted.

Today, Iran has the ability to design and build any military and fishing vessel, Mohammad concluded.

The ceremony for signing two contracts for the supply and delivery of ten pilot ships worth 3907 billion Rials was held in the presence of Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami, Head of Iran's Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO) Mohammad Rastad and Commander of Khatam al-Anbiya Construction Headquarters Saeed Mohammad at the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development on Saturday evening.
