Liévin (IP) - Iran's fastest man won the French indoor track and field championship.

Iran Press/Europe: According to the Iran press on Saturday, Hassan Taftian, the fastest man in Iran, won the championship in the French indoor track and field competitions, held in Liévin, France, with a record of 6 seconds and 68 hundredths of a second in 60 meters section.

After Taftian, Ryan Zahzeh and Marvin René from France both came in second and third, respectively.

Iranian Olympic runner Hassan Taftian has been training in France for a few days to prepare for the Asian Championships and the Tokyo Olympics.

In August 2019, Taftian took part in the Diamond League in Paris under the guidance of his French coach, Ontanon Guy, and won the Tokyo Olympics quota with a time of 10 seconds and three-hundredths of a second.
