Countries sanctioned by US end dollar of domination: Iranian MP

Tehran (IP) - The spokesman of the National Security Commission of the Iranian Parliament said that the reorganization of the US-sanctioned countries would be the beginning of the end of the dollar's domination of the world economy.

Iran PressIran News: Abolfazl Amouei, the spokesman for the Iranian parliament's National Security Commission and head of the Iran-Cuba parliamentary friendship group, wrote on Twitter on Saturday in response to new US sanctions against Cuba: The United States will not give up the rusty sword of sanctions, but Cuba will remain steadfast, as Iran, Venezuela, Russia, Belarus, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq have stood.

Amouei added: "Organizing the embargoed countries will be the beginning of the end of the dollar's domination of the world economy."

The Trump administration, which is in power for only five days in the White House, has placed the Cuban Interior Ministry and its secretary on the sanctions list for serious human rights abuses.

The United States has imposed sanctions on Cuba for nearly six decades under various pretexts, and even during the Corona pandemic, it did not lift its sanctions against Cuba.
