Abidjan (IP) - The head of the Iranian Red Crescent and the head of the Ivory Coast Red Cross stressed the importance of expanding bilateral cooperation.

Iran Press/Africa: "Iran will work to improve the level of its relations with the Ivory Coast Red Cross," said Karim Hemmati, head of the Iranian Red Crescent, during a meeting with the head of Ivory Coast Red Cross, Leonce DA on Tuesday.

Leonce DA, the head of the Ivory Coast Red Cross, also thanked the Iranian Red Crescent for its assistance in setting up a polyclinic center in the city of Abidjan.

"The Iranian Red Crescent Society cooperates with Ivory Coast as one of the most important and long-standing business partners and is one of the few countries that provide humanitarian services", He said.

In this meeting, it was decided that the two sides, in addition to joint cooperation in the fields of training and rescue, will expand and enhance their international cooperation at the level of the Federation of International Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
