Tehran (IP) - The fourth meeting of the Joint Economic Commission of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Iraq was held in Tehran after six years.

Iran PressIran News: In the meeting held on Tuesday, Iran’s Energy Minister, Reza Ardakanian emphasized the fact that the Islamic Republic of Iran saw its benefits only in eliminating foreigners from the region, and stated that achieving the goal depended on the people of the region's ability to supply their own needs. 

He noted that Iran was enthusiastic to share its experience, helping the neighboring countries to improve their capacities and provide for their needs. In order to expand trades, several agreements were signed to avoid getting extra tax and have more cooperation in customs, he added.

Ardakanian went on to say that Iran is ready to export technical and engineering services to and can form a bilateral fund to support private sectors to put their plans into practice.

He said Iran could start the implementation of the previous agreements signed in utility as well as signing new contracts in this regard to expand cooperation.

The Iranian minister also announced his country's readiness to share its experience in fighting Covid-19, with Iraq.
