Tehran (IP) - Iran's judiciary chief said that the national COVID vaccine was a great honor for the Iranian people, benefiting all nations after mass production.

Iran PressIran News: At a meeting of the Judiciary High Council officials on Monday, Ebrahim Raisi stated that Iran was not a laboratory for American and British vaccines.

He noted that the Leader of the Islamic Revolution's plan to boycott the American and British vaccines was to protect the people's lives against those who pursued their own interests regardless of human lives.

The first phase of human injection clinical studies of the first COVID vaccine developed by Iranian researchers called “COVO-Iran Barakat” began on December 29, 2020, on volunteers. The vaccine is to be injected into 56 volunteers in phase one within two months.

About the latest situation in the Ukrainian plane crash case, Raisi also pointed out that there was no red line in pursuing the case.

Regarding all the hypotheses and claims, in this case, he noted that detailed expert, field, scene reconstruction, etc. investigations had been carried out.

On January 8, 2020, a passenger plane belonging to Ukrainian Airlines crashed near Tehran, killing 167 passengers and nine crew members.

Most of the passengers were Iranian nationals, and the 32 others had passports from five countries: Canada, Afghanistan, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and Sweden.

Iran's judiciary chief also referred to the recent events in the United States and stated that these events manifest the oppressive structure of this country and their arrogant views of the people.
