Head of Iran’s Anti-Narcotics Police 4zstressed the coordination and cooperation between Iran and Pakistan in the fight against narcotics.

Iran PressAsia: Referring to the need for cooperation between Iran and Pakistan in the fight against narcotics, Brigadier-General Majid Karimi said: "The Islamic Republic of Iran stresses coordination and cooperation with the Pakistan Anti-Narcotics Police at the border points of the two countries.”

Referring to the discovery of nearly one thousand tons of various types of narcotics by Iran in 2020, Brigadier-General Karimi added: "We expect the neighboring country to react more seriously against drug trafficking."

Head of Iran’s Anti-Narcotics Police traveled to Pakistan on Sunday at the invitation of his Pakistani counterpart to strengthen cooperation in the fight against illicit drug trafficking and to meet with Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad and Director-General of Pakistan’s Anti Narcotics Force Major General Arif Mali.

Director-General of Pakistan’s Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) Major General Arif Malik paid an official visit to Tehran in October 2019 and met his Iranian counterpart to discuss bilateral cooperation.
