In another development in the region, the U.S. aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln has begun its return to San Diego after a nine-month deployment operation, most of which was U.S. military aggression against Iran.
About 5,000 sailors spent nearly all of the carrier’s 272-day mission at sea. Reports cited shortages of food and supplies, problems with plumbing and drinking water, and deteriorating living conditions aboard the carrier.
The USS Abraham Lincoln is expected to reach San Diego within four to five weeks.
