The Minister of Defense and Support of the Iranian Armed Forces said that the trans-regional powers seek to weaken Iran, but they have always failed in achieving their goals.

Iran PressIran news: On Saturday evening in commemoration of the anniversary of the martyrdom of General Ghasem Soleimani, Brigadier General Amir Hatami, Minister of Defense and Support of the Armed Forces of Iran, said:  "Today, Iran's stance is significantly unprecedented over the past few decades, the Islamic Revolution made Iran's stance unique and privileged.

Hatami added that part of this is due to the geographical situation, in which the enemies seek to create erosion for Iran, but they should know that this is not easily possible."

The fact that the enemies say the Islamic Republic of Iran should reduce its presence in the region is due to the conflict in the interests that others in this region are pursuing; "Today, we see in the region that countries are pursuing their own interests in obeying trans-regional powers", Hatami reiterated.

Hatami noting that having a strategic idea and plan, strategic weapons and strategic depth are among the strategies of the Islamic Republic of Iran, added: "Due to the geographical depth that we have, others have always claimed that Iran should go from the West Asian region, that is, from the Persian Gulf to the western Mediterranean, and to do this, they waged several wars and even created terrorist groups in the region to achieve their demands, but Iran's strategic presence prevented their demands from being realized."

Iranian Defence Minister emphasized: "The perpetrators of assassinating Major General Soleimani should know that the revenge of this martyr will be taken, of course, the great revenge is the expulsion of US forces from the region." 219
