Tehran (IP) - Iran's Ministry of Health spokeswoman announced in her presser on Saturday that 1,237,474 people in the country have been infected with the coronavirus, and 1,004,326 have recovered.

Iran Press/Iran News: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to January 2, 2020, newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 was 6,045 cases out of whom 693 patients were hospitalized, Sima Sadat Lari stated.

She noted that in the past 24 hours, 101 COVID-19 patients had lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 55,438.

4,981 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition, according to the spokeswoman.

So far, 7,723,377 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across the country, the Health Ministry spokeswoman pointed out.

Based on the latest statistics, the cities of Sari, Amol, Ramsar, and northern Savadkuh in northern Iran are regarded as red zones, 43 cities as orange zones, and 401 cities as yellow zones, Lari said.
