A symbolic exhibition dedicated to children who were murdered in Minab by the U.S. army was displayed at the venue, while families of the victims announced plans to pursue legal action against the United States and Israel in international forums over the deaths of the children.
Speaking at the conference, a member of Iran’s Parliament criticized international organizations for double standards in addressing human rights issues. Sara Fallahi, the lawmaker, stated that even UNICEF had failed to condemn the Minab incident.
MP further argued that some international officials privately acknowledge Iran’s position but refrain from publicly condemning such incidents.
Also addressing the gathering, Bahraini cultural and social activist Elham Shakeri stressed that more than 300 Bahraini Shias had been arrested due to expressing support for Iran during the U.S.-ISraeli war on the country.
She said some detainees have received severe sentences, including life imprisonment and death penalties. She also criticized international organizations for their silence regarding the arrests.
