Tehran (IP) - In a telephone call with his Armenian counterpart on Monday, the Iranian foreign minister said that Tehran was ready to expand economic cooperation with Yerevan in the new era.

Iran Press/Iran News: Armenian Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazian had a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and the latest developments in the region and international arena and issues of mutual interests were discussed.

In this call, the Iranian foreign minister expressed his regret over the recent war and expressed his condolences to the families of those killed in the war, emphasizing the position of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the inviolability of international borders and our country's sensitivity in this regard.

Zarif said the end of the conflict paved the way for multilateral cooperation in the region and expressed satisfaction with the development of economic cooperation between the private sectors of the two countries, announcing Iran's readiness to develop economic cooperation with Armenia in the new era.
