Tehran (IP) - The deputy chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the parliament of Iran said that "what saves the Americans is their getting out of the region and ending their hegemony."

Iran PressIran News: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press News Agency on Sunday, Abbas Moghtadaei referred to the US' new moves in the Persian Gulf region and stated that Iran was an influential country in the region with the highest defense capability without fear of US military equipment.

Moghtadaie said: "The Persian Gulf is a marine zone that belongs to the countries that are on its periphery, being used internationally, but the US likes to have a camp in the Persian Gulf region and dominate it."

He went on to say that despite some problems, Iran has a strong and indigenous defense, which has resulted in being introduced as a completely safe country in the insecure region, and that is what the Americans do not like.

The deputy chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Iran's parliament also stated: "Of course, if Iran needs to take action against the United States, it will certainly have the necessary power by relying on its internal power."
