If enemies make mistake again, they will suffer heavy losses, stressed Chief of Staff of Iran's Armed Forces while receiving Armenian Defense Minister.

Driving the news:

Armenia’s Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan, who is visiting Tehran for a bilateral meeting at the invitation of Iran’s Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics, held talks with Major General Abdulrahim Mousavi, Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces.

Why it matters:

The words by the Iranian top military official indicate that the enemy's interests in the region will be totally devastated in cases of another aggression.

Context:

During the U.S.-Israeli 12-day war on Iran, the armed forces, backed by the Iranian nation, forced the enemy to plead for a ceasefire.

What they are saying:

Major General Mousavi: "The world is in a transition away from unipolarity and unilateralism. The Americans cannot tolerate this process and are trying through illegitimate and unlawful actions to impose their dominance, whereas the move beyond the unipolar order is inevitable.”

“Given America’s actions, our strategy has changed. If they err again, we will inflict heavy losses on them. The Iranian nation and Armed Forces are determined to stand firm against the hegemonic system to the very end."

“We are sincerely pleased with the progress toward peace and agreement between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia.”

Armenian Defense Suren Minister Papikyan stated that security and peace serve the interests of all regional countries, reaffirming Armenia’s support for a peaceful settlement process.

"The stability and inviolability of the borders between our two countries are of vital importance to us.”
