The exhibition aims to introduce Perisan culture, art, and civilization to the people of Kazakhstan through globally recognized heritage. Also,the photo exhibition presents Iranian architectural and cultural landmarks inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
The opening ceremony was attended by ambassadors, cultural figures, and the head of UNESCO’s regional office in Almaty. Iranian music and a live traditional Pahlevani wrestling were performed during the inauguration. The exhibition will run until February 26 at the National Museum of Almaty.

Sona Ahmadi, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Almaty: The event is designed to familiarize the Kazakh public with Iran’s rich cultural and artistic heritage.
She noted that Iran has 29 registered tangible and 26 registered intangible UNESCO heritage elements, including Nowruz and traditional Pahlevani wrestling.
