Why it matters:
The nature of the U.S.-Israeli-backed riots in Iran over the past weeks is clear to the independent countries, as the U.S. does not tolerate an independent Iran or any other country in the world.
The big picture:
While peaceful protests to inflation and economic challenges were upheld, violent rioters led by the U.S. and Israel turned the protests on January 8-10 into chaos, including terrorist attacks on security forces and civilians and acts of vandalism. Iranian authorities reported the arrest of numerous armed assailants.
What they're saying:
Barrister Muhammad Salihu, a human rights lawyer, remarked, “Both the United States and Israel have no moral rights to accuse Iran in any way of suppressing violent rioters. Of course, peaceful protest is constitutionally guaranteed across all nations in the world. It is a fundamental right in every nation. But where the violent protesters engage in firing live ammunition against citizens or security [forces] and vandalization of public properties, such things cannot be tolerated... Therefore, Iran has every right, as Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei said, peaceful protesters have the right to protest."
Bala Hassan, a Nigerian educator, added, “I commend the Islamic Republic of Iran under the leadership of the Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei who has given directives to the secret Police and other law enforcement agencies to ensure the rights of the law-abiding citizens... unlike in other countries who claim to be the superpowers of the world like the United States of America where we witnessed how police are brutalizing...”
Abdullahi Muhammad Dambam, a broadcast journalist, stated, “We must salute Iran's IRIB and journalists because they worked tirelessly to inform the world the true scenario in the country... the United States and Israel... using fake narratives... But due to the great work of the IRIB, the world came to understand the real-life situation.”
