Why It Matters
Tensions have escalated in recent weeks after threats by the United States and Israel against Iran, prompting widespread concern across West Asia. Iranian officials have repeatedly warned that any aggression would be met with a severe response.
The Big Picture
Regional and global anxieties are growing amid speculation over potential military escalation involving Iran.
Iran has positioned itself as a central actor in regional deterrence, with strong backing from allied movements and supporters across the Muslim world.
Religious and political figures outside Iran are increasingly weighing in on the potential consequences of a conflict.

He stressed that Iran’s response to any new aggression would be decisive and unpredictable.
