U.S. President repeated his rhetoric against Iran, claiming that he got aware that Iran is recovering its defense capability and nuclear facilities harmed during the U.S.-Israeli June attacks.

Why it matters:

While selling arms to other countries, including Ukraine, and spending much on upgrading its nuclear arsenals, the U.S. has put pressure on Iran to accept "Zero Enrichment" of uranium; an issue that is against the NPT.

Flashback:

On June 3, Israeli regime supported by the U.S. launched air strikes against Iran to allegedly destroy the nuclear facilities of the country. As the Israeli regime got fainted in its aggression due to Iran's responses, the U.S. itself stepped in and bombed some nuclear sites in central Iran.

What he's saying:

Donald Trump: "I hope they're not trying to build up again, because if they are, we're going to have no choice but very quickly to eradicate that build up."

"I've been reading, that they're building up weapons and other things. And if they are, they're not using the sites that we obliterated, but they're using possibly different sites."

The big picture:

Iran, with the world’s second-largest gas reserves and fourth-largest oil reserves, faces the reality of finite fossil fuels. Nuclear energy offers a sustainable, low-carbon alternative to meet growing domestic demand and reduce environmental impact. U.S. pressure to halt Iran’s nuclear program is seen as an infringement on Iranian sovereign right to peaceful nuclear technology, as guaranteed by the NPT.

Flashback:

On June 22, 2025, U.S. President Donald Trump said on his X account that American B-2 bombers have conducted airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities, ‘successfully' in Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan.
