In a letter to the annual meeting of the Union of Islamic Student Associations in Europe, Ayatollah Khamenei noted that the Iranian nation has demonstrated its ability to stand firm against oppressive powers and to convey the message of Islamic values to the world with increasing strength.
Ayatollah Khamenei underscored that despite the sorrow caused to the Iranian nation by the martyrdom of scientists, commanders, and citizens in U.S. and Israeli attacks, the determination of Iran’s youth remains unshaken.
The full text of the letter is as following:
This year, thanks to faith, unity, and self-confidence, your country gained new credibility and stature in the world. The heavy attack of the U.S. military and its disgraceful appendage in this region was defeated by the initiative, courage, and sacrifice of the youth of Islamic Iran.
It has been proven that the Iranian nation, relying on its own capabilities, under the guidance of faith and righteous action, and in confrontation with corrupt and oppressive powers, can stand firm and convey the call to Islamic values to the world with a louder voice than ever.
The deep sorrow over the martyrdom of a number of our scientists, commanders, and beloved citizens has not and will not be able to halt the determined youth of Iran. The families of those martyrs themselves are among the pioneers of this movement.
This is not about nuclear issues or matters of that kind. It is about resisting the unjust order and the dominance of the global system of hegemony, and turning toward a just national and international Islamic order. This is the great claim that Islamic Iran has raised, which has angered the corrupt and oppressive tyrants.
You students, especially those abroad, bear a share of this great responsibility. Entrust your hearts to God, recognize your capabilities, and direct the associations toward this path.
