COVID-19 daily death toll declines in Iran

Tehran (IP) - ‏‏The spokeswoman for Iran's Ministry of Health announced on Friday that in the past 24 hours, 178 COVID-19 patients had lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 53,273.

Iran PressIran news: According to definitive Iran's laboratory findings from yesterday to December 18, 2020, 1,145,651 people in the country have been infected with the coronavirus, and 865,474 of the total infected people recovered, the Spokeswoman for Iran's Ministry of Health Sima Sadat Lari stated.

She added that newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 7,121 cases out of whom 1,085 patients were hospitalized

5,627 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition.

So far, 6,944,462 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across the country, the Health Ministry spokeswoman noted.

Currently, 12 counties are in the red zone, 288 are in the orange zone, and 148 are in the yellow zone.
