The continuation of the siege by the US-led aggressors against the Yemeni people is a war crime, Iran's ambassador to Yemen tweeted.

Iran Press/Middle East: "The war crime must be prosecuted under international law and human rights," Hasan Irlu noted.

"The silence of the nations against this cruel siege against the Yemeni people will not continue," the diplomat highlighted.

Saudi Arabia, with the support of the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and several other countries, has launched the offensive and imposed a land, sea, and air blockade on the country.

The warmongering by Saudi Arabia and its allies in Yemen has so far killed more than 16,000 Yemenis, injured tens of thousands, and displaced millions of people.
