Yemen’s Ansarullah leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi has warned that the region is on the brink of a full-scale confrontation with Israel and its Western backers, vowing that the Yemeni resistance is “stronger than ever” and ready for the next stage of conflict.

Why it matters:

Al-Houthi’s remarks reflect the growing sense of escalation across West Asia as pro-resistance forces, from Yemen to Lebanon, prepare for a possible broader war against Israel and its Western allies. His speech underscores the strategic alignment of anti-Israeli movements following the Gaza war and renewed U.S. military involvement in the region.

What he’s saying:

In a televised address marking Martyrs’ Week, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi declared that Yemen stands ready for a “decisive and comprehensive confrontation” with what he called “the enemies of the Islamic nation.” He said that despite previous challenges, the Houthi movement has emerged “more powerful than ever” and warned that another major war could erupt soon, blaming Israel for continuing aggression even after ceasefire agreements.

Al-Houthi accused the United States and its European allies—including Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom—of being “full partners in Israel’s crimes against the people of Gaza and Lebanon,” adding that over 26 other nations are also supplying weapons to Tel Aviv.
