Official Ahead of 13 Aban Day:

"U.S. hostility toward Iran remains fundamental, even if Iran engages in dialogue to resolve issues," said the head of Iran’s Central Committee for the Commemoration of 13 Aban (Iranian national day anti-arrogance).

Why it matters:

As an independent country, the Islamic Republic of Iran has always shown that is fully committed to diplomacy and settlement of problems through dialogue, but the West, speaking from a position of arrogance, refuses to come to terms with Iran’s independence.

Flashback:

The roots of U.S.-Iran hostility trace back at least to the 1953 coup that toppled Iran’s legitimate government—decades before the 1979 embassy takeover. Despite multiple rounds of dialogue in recent years, Washington continues its confrontational policies, most recently in June, through a new wave of aggression by its Zionist proxy.

The big picture:

The enmity between Iran and the United States is not a sudden phenomenon but a sustained pattern spanning seven decades, marked by interventions, sanctions, and coercive diplomacy aimed at undermining the Islamic Republic’s sovereignty.

What he's saying:

Mostafa Rostami: " From supporting separatist movements, aiding Saddam Hussein in his aggression against our sacred homeland, backing the terrorist group MKO and other terrorists, imposing sanctions on the Iranian people, and exerting international and political pressure—America has committed every conceivable crime against this nation."

"We were in the midst of negotiations with the Americans. Yet, according to Trump’s own admission, this operation had been planned for 20 years. American officials also confessed that the negotiations were merely a cover to normalize conditions and catch Iran off guard with a military operation."

"Even their talks with representatives of the Islamic system and the Iranian government were part of this deception. This event clearly illustrates the true nature of America’s hostility toward the Iranian people."

Flashback:

On November 4, 1979, Iranian students seized the U.S. Embassy to Tehran, where they found a significant body of American espionage documents and from then on, the embassy became known as the "Den of Espionage."
