Meanwhile, Israeli forces carried out a series of intense air strikes on Gaza City and northern areas following the publication of the news.
The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, has announced that an agreement has been reached on a ceasefire framework with the Zionist regime, following negotiations concerning a proposal brokered by U.S. President Donald Trump in Sharm el-Sheikh.
The comprehensive deal, according to Hamas’s statement, includes an end to the “genocidal war” on the Palestinian people, the withdrawal of occupation forces from the Gaza Strip, the increased entry of humanitarian aid, and a prisoner exchange.
As part of the operational steps, Hamas has reportedly submitted lists of Palestinian prisoners it wants Israel to release.
In its official statement, Hamas also expressed appreciation for the efforts of the mediating nations. It called upon the mediating countries to guarantee the agreement, to ensure that the “occupation government” is compelled to fully implement the terms of the deal and prevent any attempts to evade or delay its commitments.
Hamas concluded its statement by saluting the Palestinian people across the Palestinian territories and the diaspora for their “courageous, heroic, and dignified stands,” asserting that their steadfastness had frustrated Israeli plans for subjugation and displacement.
Hamas affirmed its unwavering commitment to the national rights of the Palestinian people until freedom, independence, and self-determination are achieved.
