Tehran (IP) - Confirming the government's letter to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution about the FATF bills, the Vice President for Legal Affairs said that in this letter, a request was made to extend the deadline for consideration of the remaining bills related to FATF treaties, and the Leader agreed on the request and referred the matter to the Expediency Discernment Council.

Iran Press/Iran news: Laya Joneydi, the Vice President for Legal Affairs, confirmed the government's letter to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei about the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) bills and said: "In this letter, along with providing a legal proposal to address some concerns of the members of the Expediency Council and the explanation for a current action plan and some developments, including the amendment of some of the recommendations of the Task Force, a request was made to extend the period of consideration of the remaining bills related to the treaties, which the Leader agreed on and referred the matter to the Council."

Regarding the concerns about this plan, Joneydi said: "If necessary, adjustments can be made to satisfy the members of the Expediency Council."
