According to Iran Press News Agency, in Liverpool, U.K., crowds marched through the city center ahead of the Labour Party conference, openly denouncing the British government’s complicity in Israeli war crimes. Protesters blasted Prime Minister Keir Starmer for supplying arms to the Israeli regime while offering only hollow statements. “Appalling double standards — arming Israel while Palestinians are slaughtered,” said one demonstrator, as chants calling for justice for Gaza echoed through the streets.
Cape Town witnessed one of the largest pro-Palestinian rallies in South Africa’s history. From the historic Muir Street Mosque to the Parliament, protesters carried Palestinian flags, symbolic coffins, and placards declaring “Boycott Apartheid Israel.” Organizers condemned Israel’s crimes against humanity and urged their government to impose sweeping sanctions, recalling the global pressure that helped end apartheid in South Africa. “We have no choice but to stand up and raise our voices for Gaza,” said protester Jameelah Salie, echoing the collective outrage at Israel’s massacre of civilians.
In Seoul, Düsseldorf, and Barcelona, the scenes were powerful. In South Korea’s capital, students and activists rallied to denounce Washington’s role in enabling Israel’s crimes. In Germany’s Düsseldorf, thousands filled the central square despite heavy police restrictions, defiantly chanting against genocide and holding banners that read “Not in our name.” Meanwhile, in Barcelona, Spain, protesters marched together while carrying enormous Palestinian flags, turning the city’s heart into a sea of solidarity. Together, these cities joined the global chorus that the struggle for Palestine has become a worldwide call for justice, resistance, and liberation.
The demonstrations brought together broad coalitions of solidarity groups, faith leaders, student movements, and trade unions, reflecting the global consensus that Israel’s war is not a “conflict” but a systematic genocide.
While countries like Britain, Canada, Australia and Portugal recently recognized a Palestinian state, protesters made clear that symbolic recognition means little without decisive action to stop the Zionist regime’s crimes, lift the siege, and hold its leaders accountable for war crimes.
From London to Cape Town, from Europe to Asia, the message was unmistakable: the world stands with Palestine, and the Zionist regime will never escape accountability for its atrocities.
