In a statement on Wednesday, the forces confirmed that two drones struck regime sites in the southern area of Umm al-Rashrash, known as Eilat, in occupied Palestine. The operation, it said, successfully hit its intended targets following the failure of the regime’s interception systems.
The announcement added that the latest attack marked the second such operation within 24 hours. On Tuesday, Yemeni forces had already targeted multiple Israeli positions in both Umm al-Rashrash and Beersheba.
The Yemeni Armed Forces hailed the steadfast resistance in the Gaza Strip, praising the “sacrifices and heroism” of the Palestinian fighters. “From dear Yemen, we stand with you with all our capabilities and resources, and we will not stop until the aggression ends and the siege is lifted,” the statement declared.
Israeli media outlets reported that more than two dozen people were injured after a Yemeni drone struck what they described as a “vital target” in Umm al-Rashrash on Wednesday.
The operations come as part of Yemen’s declared campaign of solidarity with the Palestinian people in response to the Israeli regime’s relentless onslaught on Gaza and its attacks on Yemen.
Over recent months, Sana’a has widened the scope of its retaliatory operations, deploying drones and ballistic missiles to strike deep inside occupied Palestine. Analysts say the strikes highlight Yemen’s emergence as a key front in the broader regional confrontation against the regime.
