Iran Press/ Iran News: Abbas Salehi said in the second conference of 'Future of Peace and Human Rights in West Asia' that while Iran has extended its hands to maintain peace in the region, the US and Israeli regimes are trying to create chaos and destroying the possibility of any peace coalition by casting division and opening the space for the Takfiri terrorist groups.
Salehi said the intervention of the Western countries, particularly the US, as we as their militarism, the Israeli occupation, and Takfiri terrorist groups as the most elements of destroying the peace in the region, stressing the convergence of the countries to confront the problems.
"This region needs a return to the true principles of peace, principles that have been prevalent in this region for many years and were the source of coexistence and convergence," he stated.
Iran's Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance attributed the strong culture of peace and coexistence in the West Asian region to the monotheistic religions and noted that monotheistic religions have taught principles and foundations and have considered it as the basis of internal and external relations of societies that have had a great impact on the convergence of nations in the region.
The Second International Conference on the "Future of Peace and Human Rights in West Asia" was held by The Foundation of Dialogue and Solidarity of the United Nations on Wednesday and Thursday, through a webinar.
