Tehran (IP) - The spokeswoman for Iran's Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday that 1,062,397 people in the country have been infected with the coronavirus, and 754,224 of the total infected people recovered with the new deaths reaching 323 in the past 24 hours.

Iran PressIran News: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to December 08, 2020, newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 reached 11,023 cases out of whom 1,710 patients were hospitalized, the Spokeswoman for Iran's Ministry of Health Sima Sadat Lari stated. 

She added that in the past 24 hours, 323 COVID-19 patients had lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 50,917. 5,780 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition.

So far, 6,477,718 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across the country, the health ministry spokeswoman noted.

Currently, 64 counties are in the red zone, 278 are in the orange zone, and 106 are in the yellow zone.
