On 14th Assassination Anniv. of Scientist Rzaeinejad

Israel assassinated Iranian scientists just because they were "scientists" and tried to bring Iran progress and independence, remarked Armita Rezaeinejad, the daughter of Dariush Rezaeinejad, an Iranian nuclear scientist who was assassinated by the Israeli regime.

Why it matters:

The words of the daughter of the martyred scientist Rezaei Nejad, in front of foreign journalists, carry a message to the Western world and Israel that even with the physical elimination of Iran's nuclear talents amid global indifference, their path will continue with faith in their noble goal.

The Big Picture:

It was on June 13, early morning, when the Israeli regime, backed by the U.S., attacked Iran, hitting residential, scientific, and military areas. During the attack, several Iranian nuclear scientists and military commanders were martyred along with hundreds of civilians.

The Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) held a significant commemoration ceremony on July 20, 2025, at the Sobh Media Center to honor the martyrs of the aggression.

During this ceremony, the memory of the media martyrs and other martyrs of the Israeli regime's attacks on Iran, including military commanders and nuclear scientists who were martyred during the 12-day attacks and also in the assassinations carried out by the Israeli regime's agents in previous years, was honored.

What she's saying:

In her speech at the commemoration of the media martyrs, Armita stressed that no bomb can destroy science, expressing her commitment to continue her father's path.

"We only sought the advancement of our country, but they were worried about this progress, and for this reason, they resorted to the assassination of our scientists."

Context:

The Israeli foreign intelligence service Mossad has always been active in the elimination of strategic science scholars, including nuclear physics, in various countries. In Iran, the  U.S.-backed regime has, over the years, been assassinating a large number of nuclear scientists. In the recent attack, the Israeli regime assassinated at least 17 Iranian scientists.

Between the lines:

It was on such a day, June 23, 2011, when the Israeli regime's agents assassinated Dariush Rezaeinejad right in front of his house in an attempt to stop Iran's progress. Dariush Rezaeinejad was martyred before the eyes of his wife and daughter, who was at that time a 4.5-year-old girl.

  • Rezaeinejad, Ahmadi Roshan, Shahriyari, and Alimohammadi were the nuclear scientists assassinated in 2011 by the Israeli regime's agents in Iran.
