The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), reported that in joint operations with the al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, they destroyed three Israeli Merkava tanks using bombs and rockets. These strikes occurred near Radwan Mosque in the Shuja'iyah area of eastern Gaza.
A soldier was reportedly killed atop a Merkava tank near Al-Nasira School in the same district.
