Talking with his Chinese FM Wang Yi on Wednesday, Abbas Araghchi emphasized that the actions of Iran's armed forces in targeting Israeli military and security centers as a legitimate response to the Israel’s aggression.
He also pointed to the missile strikes on the U.S. Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, stressing that it was carried out as Iran’s right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter, in response to the U.S. military attack on Iran's sovereignty and its dangerous action against Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities.
The U.S. carried out strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities on Sunday early morning.
