Abbas Araghchi emphasized the need to address the protection of Iran's nuclear facilities in the future, stating, "Why, after twenty years of transparency and confidence-building, have we seen no results? This is a question that will be carefully considered."
He further noted that Iran's perspective on its nuclear program and the non-proliferation regime is undergoing changes, though he refrained from specifying the exact direction of these shifts, saying, "I cannot yet comment on the precise trajectory of these changes."
This statement comes as Iran's parliament is reviewing the possibility of withdrawing from the NPT.
