Mehbooba Mufti highlighted that U.S. President Donald Trump was forced to request a ceasefire through Qatar, describing this as “a source of pride for all Muslims.”
Addressing recent developments in West Asia and the military confrontations between Iran and Israel, Mufti commended Iran’s steadfast stance against the U.S. and Israel, stating, “We salute the people, military, and leadership of Iran. Fueled by faith and the spirit of martyrdom, they have confronted powers like the United States and Israel, bringing their adversaries to their knees.”
Mufti further noted that Trump’s appeal for a ceasefire via Qatar was a moment of honor and pride for her as a Muslim. She criticized certain Islamic nations for offering only rhetorical support to Iran, urging them to follow Iran’s example of decisive action. “Many have merely spoken, but Iran has acted. Muslim countries must learn from this model,” she emphasized.
In her concluding remarks, Mufti asserted, “The United States has unwittingly elevated Iran to the position of leadership in the Islamic world, and this is a matter of pride for us all.”
