Iran's Parliament members emphasized the approval of a bill mandating the government to suspend cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), after the IAEA Director General issued false reports on Iranian nuclear program.

Ebrahim Rezaei, the Spokesman for the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission announced that the commission approved the details of the bill, which obliges the Iranian government to suspend all cooperation with the IAEA under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and its safeguards agreements until certain conditions are met.

The measure is justified under Article 10 of the NPT and Article 60 of the 1969 Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties, in response to the attacks by Israel and the United States on Iran's peaceful nuclear sites and the resulting threat to Iran’s national sovereignty and interests.

As Rezaei said, the conditions for resuming cooperation include full assurance regarding Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity under the UN Charter, as determined by the Supreme National Security Council.

The bill is now scheduled for review in an open session of the Iranian Parliament.
