Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, who has traveled to Moscow, announced that in his upcoming meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, he will discuss ways to confront shared challenges and threats, especially in light of recent developments.

Upon his arrival at Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow, Araghchi was received by Kazem Jalali, Iran’s ambassador to Russia, along with several officials from the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Araghchi had earlier attended the meeting of foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Istanbul. On Sunday evening, he continued his diplomatic consultations by traveling to Moscow.

Speaking upon arrival, Araghchi stated: “Iran and Russia have always shared mutual concerns, common interests, and common adversaries. We’ve maintained close coordination and consultations to confront these shared challenges and threats. This is exactly what we will pursue in Monday’s meeting with the Russian President.”
