ISRAELI WAR ON IRAN

The United Nations Security Council has convened an emergency meeting to address the United States’ recent military assault on Iranian territory, following airstrikes against Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities in Natanz, Isfahan, and Fordow.

An emergency session of the United Nations Security Council is held to address the U.S. military aggression against the territorial integrity of Iran.

During the third emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council on the U.S. military action against Iran, UN Secretary-General António Guterres stated that the bombing of Iran’s nuclear facilities by the United States represents a dangerous escalation in an already volatile region.

Guterres emphasized the urgent need for an immediate cessation of hostilities and called for the resumption of serious and sustained negotiations regarding Iran’s nuclear program.

The representative of Russia said during the session: "We strongly condemn, in the strongest possible terms, the irresponsible and provocative actions of the United States against Iran."

The meeting has been convened at Iran's request following the U.S. strikes on Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities located in Natanz, Isfahan, and Fordow.

According to diplomatic sources, Russia, China, and Pakistan have submitted a draft resolution to the United Nations Security Council calling for an immediate and unconditional cessation of hostilities in the Middle East, as well as a halt to and end of the Israeli regime’s aggression against Iran.
