ISRAELI WAR ON IRAN

In the wake of U.S. airstrikes targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, Iran’s Parliamentary National Security and Foreign Policy Commission convened an emergency session on Sunday, June 22, 2025, to address the situation and consider possible responses.

Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesperson for the Commission, announced that the meeting was held on Sunday, with the participation of commission members, a deputy from the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), and a deputy foreign minister.

According to Rezaei, a majority of commission members strongly criticized the performance of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and called for either suspension or complete severance of cooperation with the organization.
Members also collectively urged a reassessment of Iran’s participation in the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), with the option of withdrawal expected to be placed on the Parliament’s legislative agenda.
