ISRAELI WAR ON IRAN

In the wake of U.S. airstrikes targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, Iran’s mission to the United Nations has formally called on the UN Security Council to convene an emergency session without delay.

In a letter submitted to the Council, Iran described the attacks as “blatant and unlawful acts of aggression,” asserting that they constitute a serious violation of international law and the UN Charter.
The letter urges the Security Council to address the situation urgently, condemn the U.S. strikes in the strongest possible terms, and take all necessary measures within its mandate to hold the perpetrators fully accountable and prevent impunity.

The statement further denounces the U.S. strikes as “premeditated and unprovoked,” adding they followed a large-scale Israeli military operation on June 13 against Iran’s peaceful nuclear sites.
