Speaking at an emergency session of the UN Security Council, Fu Cong said, "Early this morning, Israel, through its attacks on Iran, caused casualties and inflicted damage on Iran's nuclear facilities."
Chinese ambassador denounced Israel's assaults, emphasizing, "These attacks will have serious consequences. Heightening tensions in the region benefits no one. We urge Israel to cease its attacks and call upon all parties to adhere to international law."
Fu Cong further asserted, "Iran's rights as a signatory to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation Treaty, allowing for the peaceful use of nuclear technology, must be respected."
Addressing the global community, the Chinese ambassador said, "Countries with influence over Israel should play a constructive role. The Security Council must fulfill its role as the guardian of peace."
